The Omoloro Warrior Lineage

He was the son of Chief Alomaja, a celebrated hero of the Kiriji Wars. His ancestors were Agidimomo-Agbo, famed warriors who migrated from Ilasha to establish the prestigious Obanla title.

A Mother's Protection

To protect him from polygonal household rivalries, his mother, Iwe Ajiwebuola, initially raised him disguised as a girl. This camouflage ensured his safety during vulnerable years.

A Teacher

In 1940, Mr. Rufus Fagbenro Omotade brought the "sunshine and brightness" of his Lagos training to Christ's Church School, Ijero. His flawless agricultural mastery earned him the lifelong nickname "AGIRI".

Legacy: Mentored Arch-Bishop Abiodun Adetiloye and Professor Adeniji Adaralegbe.

The Brain Behind DMGS

When Ijero was denied Ekiti Parapo College, High Chief Omotade galvanized the community: "We can build our own". This led to the founding of Doherty Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) in 1955—the first public school in the province.

As the first highly educated Chief in Ijero, High Chief R.F. Omotade served as the Obanla and Head of the Iwarafamefa (Kingmakers), bringing immense prestige to governance.
